RedHat has donated 30 boxed sets of GNUPro development environment and 20 of Code Fusion IDE under their University Program in response to an article written by Anuradha about LKLUG, university network at Peradeniya and courses based on Unix, Linux and GNU software. It arrived at Peradeniya via Fedex on 23rd. Some copies were distributed among universities and other non-profit organizations. The rest is available at LKLUG mini library (Dept. of Computer Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya).
The software packages integrate many development tools, mostly GNU, provide graphical IDEs, optimize for Pentium family of processors and support multi-threaded debugging. Each box contains an installation CD and a comprehensive manual.
